Description
Towards the lower end of the femur, one of the common sites of this tumour, the bone is expanded
by what appears to be greyish granular material, with areas of haemorrhage. The periosteum is
elevated by tumour. Smaller tumour nodules of similar appearance are also present in the shaft,
raising the possibility of intramedullary or multiple primary sites.
